Green leafy vegetables are the most recommendable foods that you can eat when it comes to your health. Numerous studies have shown these foods are rich in nutrients which enhance the body, preventing the occurrence of many diseases, and treat several diseases that have already occurred.
Swiss chard
It contains two important but lesser known antioxidants: syringic acid kaempferol. Syringic acid helps to stabilize blood sugar levels by inhibiting the enzymes which convert carbohydrates to simple sugars. Kaempferol protects the body from cancer toxins, reduces inflammation, as well as the risk of heart disease, diabetes and other chronic diseases.
Kale
It contains kaempferol, which is great in the fight against cancer. Kale protects the heart, lowers blood sugar, strengthens bones and reduces inflammation in the body. This vegetable is rich in lutein and zeaxanthin – antioxidants that prevent eye diseases and vision loss.
Arugula
It helps increase blood flow. Despite the abundance of flavonoids, arugula possesses antioxidants that fight heart disease and even some cancers. Studies have shown that it is excellent in prevention of stomach ulcers.
Chinese cabbage
Chinese cabbage is one of the best sources of potassium, which helps build muscles and reduce high blood pressure. This vegetable is also rich in vitamin A, which strengthens the immune system and enhances the activity of white blood cells.
Collard greens
This vegetable is great when it comes to lowering cholesterol levels. It is also great fighter against some types of cancer. Collard greens contain special relationship of phytochemicals which nurture the entire organism.
Everybody knows that smoking is a health hazard! However, scientists have recently discovered that many foods can effectively act when it comes to cleaning the lungs from harmful substances like nicotine found in tobacco.

Garlic is an important and nutritious ingredient for healthy lungs. It has the effect to filter and can clean the lungs completely. True refreshment!
Ginger helps in bronchial purposes and removes the deposited content. Also, ginger has antiseptic and antibacterial properties.
Selenium is a mineral that is found in certain foods. You can also find it as a dietary supplement. The enzyme, produced by the vitamin E stimulates and enables strengthening the lung membrane.
Grapefruit also contains many antioxidants and it is known as an effective player in the fight against cancer.

Make your own garlic concoction:
Ingredients needed:
– 500 grams of garlic
– 200 ml of wine vinegar
– 200 ml of water
– 1 tablespoon of salt
– Fresh thyme
– Fresh rosemary
– Mustard seeds
– Pepper grain
– 4 bay leaves
Method of preparation:
Peel the garlic cloves. Put the water, vinegar and salt in a bowl, and then place the mixture on fire in order to boil. First ingredient you should paste in the jar is the bay leaves, then the chopped rosemary, thyme and pepper grains and the mustard seeds. Finally, put the cloves of garlic in the jar. After that you need to pour the hot liquid in the jar in order to cover the content.
If you have bigger amount of the ingredients, feel free to fill more jars.
Let the jar(s) stand still at room temperature in order to cool. Once the jar(s) has cooled, place it in the refrigerator.
